The ads kept running.
Sales kept falling.

This ecommerce client had used other advertising providers before coming to us. They reported ROAS below 2 and sales still declining, so they tried a different team.

We began by reviewing the advertising account.

Were the audiences right? Did the ads explain the product's appeal? We checked bidding, tracking and the post-click purchase journey before adjusting campaigns.

We then reviewed three figures each period: ad spend, customers and sales. All these customers came from advertising, with no major price changes or extra promotions.

The client saw improvement within three months.

  1. First three months

HK$5,800 ad spend generated HK$37,792 in sales

78 customers in total, with ROAS of 6.5. Seeing the results, the client continued working with us on advertising.

  2. Same budget

    The same HK$5,000.
Sales rose from HK$20,000 to over HK$30,000

Across two consecutive periods, sales rose from HK$20,712 to HK$33,714 and customers from 47 to 71.

  3. First reached 82 customers

HK$7,000 ad spend. HK$36,123 in sales.

Customers reached 82 for the first time, stayed there for the next two periods, and sales reached a new high.

  3. 13 September–12 October

The three periods generated HK$109,337 in sales and 246 customers, with ROAS of 5.21. Against the same period last year, the latest period had 17% more spend and 46% growth in both sales and customers.

Track customer numbers and what they spend.

Each of the latest three periods had 82 customers, yet sales ranged from HK$35,176 to HK$38,038. Customer counts alone miss changes in purchase value. Reviewing spend, customers and sales together shows where to improve next.

22 periods together. Over HK$520,000 in sales.

HK$120,800 in cumulative ad spend generated 1,156 customers and HK$521,841 in sales. Results vary by period. We keep adjusting against sales to make the same budget work harder.
